FBC Sermons
At the center of our gatherings is the preached Word of God. Through it we seek an encounter with the living God. We preach through books of the Bible in a desire to preach “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Preaching can help us understand the Bible and also know God more completely through the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ: “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you” (1Cor. 15:1).
When joining a new church it can often be difficult to know how to get involved at a deeper level. In Ephesians 4:11-13, Paul explains that the leaders of each local church are to equip the saints in their local congregation to use their gifts for the work of ministry. In light of that important mandate, the elders of FBC have designed these connection steps to equip each member to use their gifts in our local body.
This process is not intended to be heavy-handed but is designed out of a genuine desire to help foster deep fellowship, unity, service, and spiritual maturity in each member of our church according to the pattern given in Scripture.
